Red Fridays & A Military Spouse Operated Business
Posted on March 10 2017
What are Red Fridays? R.E.D stands for “Remember Everyone Deployed.” This movement is said to have started back in 2005, and all thanks to those chain emails that we used to receive. Remember the “Forward this email to 10 people you know?” That’s how it received its popularity. Over a decade later, millions of Americans still remain faithful to this movement by wearing red on Fridays.
As an American company, we take pride in supporting our troops. Our company is fully operated by Military Spouses. Nadia, Justine, Ashley and Maryalice are wives of combat veterans; hence, our strong advocacy for the Semper Fi Fund.
The Semper Fi Fund is a pretty amazing organization. Taken from their website, semperfifund.org
“The Semper Fi Fund provides immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to post 9/11 wounded, critically ill and injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, and their families, ensuring that they have the resources they need during their recovery and transition back to their communities. We work to ensure that no one is left behind.”
Our connection with the Semper Fi Fund started when our founder’s daughter, Allie raised $1000 in a week to give to the SSF on Thanksgiving 2013. https://semperfifund.org/event/allies-bracelet-fundraiser/
With that being said, let’s all wear red on Fridays and show our appreciation and deepest gratitude to our troops.
On Fridays, we pledge to donate 20% of our profits to the Semper Fi Fund. If you are rocking red on Fridays, please tag us or email us at email@example.com and we will send you a 25% coupon to our store!
